Initial Property Scoping Survey
NKM Associates will carry out an initial risk assessment which will identify the likelihood of bats being present at the site. A scoping survey
can be carried out at any time of year and consists of a daytime inspection.
This survey may be enough to support the application for planning permission if it is considered that the likelihood of bats to be low. If
there is a medium or high likelihood of the presence of bats then nocturnal bat surveys may be required.
If a bat roost is found then a licence may be required from Natural England in order for development work to proceed.
NKM Associates will assist with mitigation and identify the steps that the client needs to implement to ensure that any planned work complies
with UK and European legislation.
Bat experts, working for NKM Associates, operate predominantly within the Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire,
West Midlands and Staffordshire areas.
